System & Balance Updates

  • Legendary Rating
    • When reaching Legendary Rank, players now start with a Rating of 500. Rating changes at the end of a run based on the following formula: Rating Change = ( Wins – ( Current Rating / Base Rating * Neutral Wins ) ) * ScaleFactor + 10WinBonus
      • NeutralWins = 5
      • ScaleFactor = 5
      • 10WinBonus = 5
    • This math creates a situation where a player with an average of 8-wins will approach 800 rating over time, while someone with a 4-wins average will approach 400 over time.
  • Heal Cleanse
    • Now Cleanses for 10% of the Heal amount.
  • Combat Only Effects
    • Corrected an issue where certain “during combat” effects would incorrectly trigger outside of combat.
    • Corrected an issue where certain “during combat” effects would incorrectly persist if the item was destroyed in combat. This applied to:
      • Dianasaur
      • Mommasaur
      • Hacksaw
      • Void Render
      • Balcony (Item)
      • Skyscraper (Item)
      • Spacescraper (Item)
      • Subscraper (Item)
  • Cooldown Reduction
    • These effects have been modified to the following formula:
      Final Cooldown = (Base Cooldown – SUM(Flat Cooldown Reduction)) * (100 – SUM(Percent Cooldown Reduction))
    • This means that shuffling cooldown items before applying an on-sell Percent-based Cooldown Reduction (e.g. Feather) no longer has an effect, as all reductions are now pooled.
    • It also means the value of each 1% CDR is the same regardless of timing. Caps and clamps apply in edge cases.
    • A number of items and skills that provided percent-based CDR have been adjusted upward due to the removal of diminishing returns.
  • Start of Run
    • Characters now start with 2 XP instead of 0 XP.
  • Level Up Changes
    • Level Up tiers that offer enchantments are now just the Artist.
    • Futura and Fates now provide two specific Enchantment Pedestals instead of enchantment choice.
  • Crit Chance
    • Adjusted application rules to better handle edge case items that can’t crit (e.g. Igloo).
  • Rounding Rules
    • Most percentage-based effects now round up, with a floor of 1.
  • Ghosts
    • Fixed an issue where certain temporary player and item modifiers were not recorded on ghosts.
  • User Interface
    • Various UI adjustments and optimizations.
    • Concede now has a confirmation dialog.
    • Regeneration effects now have a Gem.
