Bans for using Mods in The Bazaar: What You Need to Know

Bazaar Tracker

Recently, the Bazaar team has come out with a statement clarifying the status of bans for players resorting to modified clients (Source). Although the implementation of blanket bans hasn’t taken place yet, it is bound to happen soon, and the development team really wants to make sure the community is adequately informed about the upcoming changes. The objective of this blog is to explain the current situation, enumerate the actions that violate rules, and bring to light the importance of following the End User License Agreement (EULA).

Current Status of Bans

So far, modded client blanket bans have not been introduced. However, as a matter of fact, a few individual bans have already been given out. According to the Bazaar team, these bans are expected to be distributed more widely in the foreseeable future. The commencement of the process, when made official, will serve as the last warning to players still using modified clients.

Acts For Which You Can Get Banned

The Bazaar team has made it clear that any use of trackers, mods, or tools that read, intercept, or mine data—be them from local sources or server responses—are, in fact, violations of the EULA. These behaviors not only undermine the game’s integrity but also provide the particular players with an unfair advantage. Consequently, they might attract disciplinary measures, like being banned indefinitely.

Tools we would not recommened to use

While it seems that bans are not being rolled out just yet, and we are unsure if the team can detect the use of banned software, we would not recommend using either bazaartracker.gg or bizarre.gg until more concrete information is available.

Also external sites such as bazaarplanner.com seem not to be okay:

Hey, unfortunately we need you to take down bazaarplanner.com. Combat simulation is a red line for us with external tools because it will harm gameplay a lot in the long run. – Reynad about bazaarplanner.com
